CPI is committed to supporting professionals to maintain and renew certifications through the following transfer requirements.

I ALREADY COMPLETED A DOULA WORKSHOP

We accept participants who have taken a doula workshop from a different organization, but never completed their certification and now wish to become certified doulas. Your training workshop must have been within the last 3 years.

1. Pay transfer fee of $199 (click) – no additional charges.

2. Email a copy of your attendance from a doula training course.

3. Complete form documenting recent doula support for 2 families within last 12 months (a link will be emailed to the form)

4. Interview 2 birth professionals (a link will be emailed to the form)

I AM CERTIFIED WITH A DIFFERENT ORGANIZATION

You may hold dual certification with CPI or transfer from a different organization. If you are currently a certified doula within the last two years we only require that you document 8 contact hours to become CPI (Childbirth Professionals International) certified and verify providing recent doula support within the last 12 months.

Contact hours are accepted from different organizations or see courses. Transfer fee is $199.

4. Complete form documenting birth/postpartum support for 2 families (a link will be emailed)
